Happiness in a Purpose
The kids ministry of the House of Bread church celebrated one more graduation -
on July 6, 2012, 37 members of the "Kids With Purpose" (KWP) successfully completed the semester. The "Kids With Purpose" has started in February 2009, and this year it completed the fourth semester.
Each new semester begins with planning, the director of Sunday school, Oksana Kvaterchuk together with the KWP coordinator, Svetlana Smal, ponder and decide all future activities in which participants of the KWP will be involved.
The program has just ended the semester consisted of 10 events. On Fridays, there were biblical lessons, and on Saturdays, children have an excellent opportunity to serve others.
As Svetlana Smal said, the attendance of all the events was at the highest level, and help from the parents during Friday’s lessons and missionary trips were invaluable.

Svetlana also told of the missionary shares held this semester. During these sessions, the children learned to appreciate the importance of what they have and help those in need. They bought the necessary things for donations for disadvantaged children, handing out personal hygiene items, as well as food and clothing to the homeless in the downtown of Sacramento, visited a nursing home, participated in the Sacramento Food Bank, assisted in the improvement of the church property.
On the warm July evening, 37 participants from 7 to 12 years, became happy graduates of the KWP. "I think that they discovered happiness that comes from helping and having a purpose " - summed up KWP coordinator.
